One of the weird creative tasks I do every week is create an illustration for the “Weird News” column in the Midweek Newspaper. This column never fails to supply me with an abundance of strange and amusing stories from around the world, each one more bizarre than the last. With such diverse material to work with, I have the opportunity to craft equally peculiar and fascinating illustrations to accompany each story. From tales about adventurous grave diggers to the peculiar sight of someone riding a llama to a wedding, and even heartwarming stories about reuniting with an old pet snake that was long thought to be gone, the “Weird News” column is a rich source of inspiration for my imaginative illustrations.
